My parents Nissan Primera 2.0 GT failed its MOT today:-

Needs one new brake pad (easy)
but also
to "play" in front suspension near side ball joint.

Is this a big difficult job?
Mum doesnt know cos shes... well, mum
and my dad is more into bikes really.

front ball joint usually means new wishbone at alot of garages, as they cant be fucked to press out and press in a new ball joint.

fairly expensive then?

Ryan

depends on the garage, if its the bottom ball joint which connects the wishbone to the hub/strut. and they do a new wishbone that will prob be a fair bit (100 ish depending on manufacture price/garage mark up) then fitting.

Ryan

there will be fitting on top of the cost of the wishbone though.

it depends on how 'time consuming' the garage feel it is.
