how big and heavy is the sub, i know its obvious lol but the heavier the load...
other than that, could just be coincedence

You minght just need your wheels balancing, may have nothing to do with your sub + amp

it shouldnt really make no difference mate as said before its a bit heavier so will be a little bit slower but not noticable.... think it may just be a couincedence that the problem has happend when uve fitted your sub n amp....

I’m not a pro on this but I’m pretty sure it won’t be far offI’m 100% sure it will slow your car down though...:geek:.
To power a 1KW sub assuming the alternators 60% efficient, the amps 40% efficient and the sub wiring and amp have a mass of 50kg (just wild guesses at those figures):
The amp will need 2500W electrical. Therefore the alternator will need approx 4170W mechanical from the engine…
4170W = 5.6bhp
Stock VTS – 120bhp, 935kg, 128bhp/tonne:y:
MaxPower VTS with 1000W sub – 114.4bhp, 985kgs, 116bhp/tonne:n:
Have a look on GMCs website they sell a freepower unit that stops your alternator charging on full throttle…
The shaking of the wheel won’t be related to the amp and sub

sounds abit overrated that for me you would lose a lil bit because of weight of sub but not that much, it dosnt explain the shakin

Maybe it’s a bit overrated. I’m not sure on efficiency of the amps… I’ve seen people with 250amp fuses! That would suggest the amps need loads of power – 3000W. I know they give off loads of heat so they won’t be that efficient…
The power doesn’t just come from nowhere! Everything electrical drains power from the engine and increases fuel consumption…
