Is it possible to pay a mass amount for your deposit and lower the monthly payments to near nothing?

don't think so, could you not just borrow the bit extra you need to pay it in full from your parents and pay them back monthly?

Best bet is phoning them mate, they get more of the money sooner so i suppose its not bad from their point of view but they might put the interest up to make more profit on the monthly payments...

Of course it is.
It just means that the amount you borrow is less. I assume this is on a new loan rather than an existing one?

theres nothing they can do to stop you, im sure its something to do with finanial law which stops them forcing the amount you borrow, so you can give a bigger deposit to lower monthly payments yes
