Indicator stalk

How can anyone tell me how to remove the lighting/indicator stalk? I have removed the plastic cover from around steering column and the 2 screws holding in the stalk but there is not enough room to slide it out? can any1 help pleeze?:y:

I am doin this to replace the stalk, as it is stopping the passenger back lights from workin. Hope someone can help me?

You need to remove the steering wheel before the indicator unit can be unscrewed and slid out.
