When I go through the setup with the installation cd I got with the router it tries to make a small network, (making the laptop, router and PC connected),which doesn't even work either, there is no choice of just having the LAPTOP connected to the ROUTER!!!!! HELP!!

What operating system you using? Vista?

I had this same problem on Louises, it shows on the diagram that you should be connecting a PC into the router too yeah?

I had the same problem with Louises laptop.

When I tried to set it up, I had problems trying to get it to be wireless too. However, I just kept on trying and eventually it worked, but I'm thinking with you been on Vista this maybe causing problems as I heard they do....and seen them have problems!

Does it say Vista on the box?

What setting up have you done on the router? Have you hardwired to the router and done all the required configuration? If not, you'll need a cat5/6 cable with an rj45 connection on either end. You'll then need to setup the wireless configuration on your router. Only once this is done, will you be able to see the router from your laptop. I don't know what the default IP address used by your perticular router is, but routers often use 192.168.1.1.
