alright guys,

my mate is having problems with his vts as of late since he bumped the under side of the car( exhaust).

i will be having a look tomorrow but what do you guys think this could be??

on idle it is fine but once revved up above 1750-2000 rpm the whole front of the car shakes and vibrates, doesnt matter weather your in or out the car you can hear it.

he said he has damaged the downpipe/cat when he bumped the car, my thinking is the exhaust mount has come away and once revved up the engine moves, moving the exhaust making it touch the under side of the causing the exhaust noise(vibration) to echo thorough out the car

alrite guys, ive been in the car today, it was vibrating like f**k.

on idle its fine, not a problem at all, but as said before once revved up between 1750-3200 ish rpm the car shakes. you have all helped and said its the engine mount, would this be the one near the ecu( under the ecu) to the left of the engine if you were looking at the engine??????

by the way when you boot it, the car is fine,

well shake your engine around lol if it moves too much then you know defo its the engine mounts, get someone to sit in the car and lift the engine by the ecu side and the vibration should stop, btw you have 3 engine mounts

I would imagen its the one by the ECU, im not sure but i think this is the mount that people get most faults with, cause i no this mount went twice on my old VTR.............

but if you take it to the garage quick enough it could be just the bolt thats gone and not the whole mount itself.............thats what the garage said to me but i left it too long it just nackered it out and needed replacing

engine mount is around 45-50 pounds, to fit it cost me about 40-50 quid, so it shouldnt be more than 100 pounds in total
