quick computer question

my parents are having a new years eve party and we've got a 50" plasma in the living room, my old man asked me if i can get something to come up on the plasma like "HAPPY NEW YEAR" abit like a screen saver on a computer, anybody know what programe i can use? i havent got powerpoint btw.

Get the computer screensaver and edit it to say that, just click preview and bosh, leave that on.

Do you have a movie making software package on your PC? You could create something and then burn it to a DVD, and then pop that in...
