Ok, so I bought this backbox yesterday (see below) and have tried to fit it with the help of some mates. But we've had no luck with it and I thought Id post up some pics of whats confusing us and see if anyones had the same problem and could offer some advice?

Below is what has confused us, this shin/lip has been welded on, but I was told it should have only been put on with exhaust putty.

So do we cut this off and hope the new one fits? I mean it is universal so it should in theory. However if it doesnt fit and we go and cut that off, we cant put the old one back on really. And we dont have the tools to weld it back on.

Anyone had similar problems? Advice please :)

Get a garage to give you a quote and see what they say. That way if they mess up, they have to fix it. Beats messing it up yourself anyway lol.

Garage wont charge you much to fit it mate. Saves messing about

meausre it first though, then use some clamps and some putty :y:

easy job mate 1 hour max id say

Cheers, I'll have a look at it myself again, otherwise get the Kwik Fitters to do it :/
