Thermistat!
or
I had a stone chip up off the road and pierced a hole right through my radiator which then let all the radiator fluid drain out.... needed a new radiator from Shitroen which cost around £200 I think!

I would go for the top two - thermostat or a small hole in the radiator.
I've had two saxo's and twice it's been a stone chip in the radiator thats done, get it down to agarage... not Shitreon and they'll sort you.
If it's a radiator your looking around £80 -£90 Shitreon will charge you double xx

Thermostat = bout 5-8 quid from halfrauds...
if you drive it with out the thermostat you car will over heat and when the head gasket goes the oil will be to thing so the engine will have touchin metal which means it liturally grinds and melts its self together ... wooo expensive.. you did the right thing smileys/smiley31.gif

indeed, all possibilities,
if you fancy doing the airlock check, just see a haynes manual, and find the nipples to bleed.
good luck hun

best advice, get it into a local garage for a quick look round armed with the few possibilities you've had suggested on here. Don't worry it will be fixed in no time - good luck x

if its overheating and the radiator is cold then im with chris: thermostat. If its fecked and not opening then the water is not getting to flow throught the radiator and cooled hence engine over heating. Though check you have any water in the radiator first as the hole in the rad is a possibility
