Hey all just a quick one, can you insure a car thats been declared SORN for a year or so? Just I need to insure a car before the 11th Jan to keep my ncb.
Any help much appreciated.

should be able to, cause you can`t tax a car without insurance

you can get special insurance for cars kept off the road.

yeh it will be a diff type of cover wont it, because if its not on the road, its doin no road miles a year, and not been used for social or domestic pleasure or anything like that, should be cheap

Yeah you can insure it mate even thought it's SORN.
As obviously if it's parked on the drive, without any tax you still want insured incase anything happens don't you?

u want it to be insured for ncb building or to protect it?, id just insure it TP with 100miles a year or less if thats the case..

yes, i have my car on a special 'laid up' policy. its £45 for the year with adrian flux.

its means your car must be kept in a garage and not to be used on the road. just for theft really.

I tried this but they dont take your no claims into account with this so had to go for a proper policy.
