will the car not start? have you not got a spare key? other option is to pay bluehawk electronics £80 and get your ecu unlocked.

Car turns ova but wont start. Put Citroen computer on it, followed instructions, immobiliser light went out and then came back. Sed ECU was fine, but no facility on comp to reset key. Tried spare key but same thing happened

If you tried the second key and havent had any work done to the car its unlikely to be the key.
Behind the fuse panel in the passenger foot well is a black box about 3 inchs wide 2 inchs high and an inch thick, this has a connector going into it with lots of cables, connector is about an inch wide and half an inch thick, give these cables a wiggle whilst someone keeps trying to start the car, ignition on then back off again till the light goes out.
Really common fault for these cables to cause a problem. You can either then disconnect the immobiliser once its started or get those cables fixed.

Had this once or twice-wouldnt start, light came on, removed key didnt push it in all the way-turned key and was fine... Just dodgy shitroens electronics for me. Do common checks first-dirt, split cables etc.

check the ring around the barell. thats the signal thing for the black box to read the key and unlock immobiliser that maybe the problem dude.
