engine not firing, any ideas?

i'm getting my show car back from bodyshop with the new gti engine in it, but its not firing over.. so i'm asking anyone of a short list of things that may be the cause... please add your ideas many thanks!

crank shaft sensor
locked ecu

p.s engine isn't buggard as it cranks over fine

Fuel cut off switch?

Any fuel coming through?

Have you checked for a spark?

I'd get some of that easy start spray.. Spray that down the induction as the engine is turning and note what happens.

If the engine fires and then cuts out then its getting a spark and its a fuel issue.

If nothing happens then its more complicated

Not being funny but is there fuel in the car?
Is fuel being drawn into the engine when you try to start it?

Also, Check your fuel cut off switch in the Engine Bay. Sometimes garages forget to release it.
