If they said it would stay same get on the phone to them and complain. I seriously doubt they did say that though.
It always goes up alot when you pass your test, due to your driving on your own and wont have an experienced driver in the car with you at all times.
dont tell you though you could get insured on a VTR at 17 for £950? lol

best bet is sell up..... but a 1.1 and vtkit it :) as your in leicester i can help you out if you want (i run a modding business and specialise in saxo's / 106's)
that way you get the looks but nice cheap insurance :)

to be fair would be cheaper to get a furio/westcoast and insure that than to get a 1.1 and kit it up. THeyre like special edition 1.4s with the VTR kit on

Im 17 got a vtr and im with quinn direct.
Phoned them up and it was £1200 on a provisional license or around £2000 with a full uk license.
So got myself insured on the provisional license and all they said was phone them up when i had passed. Didnt have to pay any extra, so saved myself £800..happy days:P

how long have you been with em? because if its a while now your going to have to start building your no claims again if you move to a different insurer!

Lets B honest
I hate insurance companies but if its meaning my baby saxo is safe then it has to be done haha
well i had a 205 with them
and that brought the insurance down another 200 quid just from havin a previous car with them.

most if not all insurers are a waste of space, all they want is your money, for nothing in return, except a peice of paper with your details on, and if you do need to claim they are all whoreish about it :n:
