Aaaarrrggh!!!!!

Just been seriously pissed off by some muppet at the supermarket.

Tara and I spent ages trying to find somewhere to park at the Supermarket today, where we were able to get Callum out the back and baby Charlie in his car seat as he was asleep. Ended up finding a half decent spot which meant we had to carefully open the doors, so as not to ding the cars alongside us.

All the parent and child spaces were taken.

As we were walking to the front of the supermarket, one of the cars that was parked in designated parenta and child spaces I noticed the 2 occupants get out and walk into the supermarket, clearly with no children.

As Callum was getting ratty we went back to the car and pulled close to said car and waited for Tara and baby Charlie.

In the meantime fella and missus return to their car, I point out it's a parent/child space, and ghis reply was an abusive one to the tune his mrs was pregnant! (not showing and quite able to walk) AAARRRGGGHHH!

I just annoys me that people like that take the piss, and will no doubt park in disabled spots because they have an ingrowing toenail ort something.

Without trying to sound like a total cnut, I hope when they have their child someone parks in the child/parent space they should have and make the ignorant and abusive bastards struggle in a normal spot with baby/pushchair/shopping etc

Fair point mate

How do some people have disabled passes though when they can still drive and walk fine?
Spaces are mostly never used and are a joke imao

Child/Parent spaces are more important though and he's obviously a cnut

But then she has to deal with people like that!

I found it really hard to keep my cool with him, just annoyed me that much I thought I'd take it out on the keyboard!

Red - agree about disabled people too, although the ratio of disabled shoppers to non-disabled and parentswith kids should be reflected in the number of designated spaces at the supermarkets!

mate suffers from arthatritus (cant spell), and he has a disabled badge, my mate exploits him and gets him in his car so he can park on the highstreet etc for free where as we have to pay to park the walk up a massive hill!

It pisses me off that people do than just because i treck to the edge of the fkin planet to park legally & some twats will just park at the door in a child/parent space :err:

The human race sucks tbh, we eat & breath from the same hole, we insult people using names for our genitalia (if a bloke calls me a tit, im assuming he wants to rub his face on me and stare at me) and then we create a bunch of laws and rules which most of us intent to ignore, so we create an enforcement group for the laws which we then all hate when they catch us breaking the laws that we pay them to enforce. Absolute madness, other planets are laughing at us!

True true... but when supermarkets are built, a certain amount of spaces have to be allocated for both disabled and parent & child. They also have to have a certain amount of green areas (such as trees and bushes), now thats a waste of parking space lol!

I took my "friend" to the supermarket and she's pregnant (3months), and I must admit I did park in the Parent and child, BUT it was quiet and only 10mins till closing time, or i wouldnt of done it.

Who cares if he knew if I wanted the spot or not. They are parent/child spaces. For people that are getting small children in and out of their cars, in a safer area than the other parking spaces. I don't want my 2 year old being hit by another car while he waits for me to get the other child out of thecar.

There are also spots at Asda, where we were for mums to be (ie, heavily pregnant). As they neither had children, or not heavily pregnant they had no right or reason to park there other than the fact they were lazy and wanted to park close to the door.

I would put my money on you being one of those cnuts that parks in disabled spots/child spaces because you're too much of a lazy arse to walk that extra 10m, and because you think "it's ok"

She was able to walk i.e. not heavily pregnant and the kid clearly wasn't present in the 'outside' sense so how is that a good enough reason?

Fair do's if she was heavily pregnant, waddling like a duck and dying for a wee but it wasn't the case was it?

tbh i have parked in a family space before! and i will tell you why...

the amount of times i have parked in a " normal " space and have come back to find dents, chips, scratches even once there was a trolly resting on my car that pissed me off!

i know its selfish of me but at the same time its the only way the i seem to be able to avoid damage being done to my car.. if there is loads of family spaces i will park in one if not then i will usually look to park next to 2 expensive/ good condition cars!

im probs going to get mullered for this but im being honest lol

Whenever I take my car I always make sure I park well away from the majority of the rest of the cars and walk because I'm not a lazy cnut. When I take the kids I expect to be able to park somewhere safe and easy for me to get the kids and and out and the shopping in

i couldnt agree more with you, and tbh if they made the family spaces the furthest away i would still park in them because i dont want to fork to have the chips, scratches , dents etc fixed. I don't care whether theres only 2 reasonably spaced car parking spaces, one being a parent and child and one being at the other end of the car park. theres still no need to use parent and child when you clearly have no need to

I can understand what you're getting at as my last car was damaged several times and I've had to foot the bill but there's no need to inconvenience someone that genuinely has a need for a parent and child space

As a parent, I too find it annoying. If you are so worried about other people damaging your car, the simple answer is a huge amount of this...
http://www.transpack.co.uk/i/products/jiffy-large-bubble-wrap.jpg

And then stand at one of these...

http://www.devon.gov.uk/contrast/busstop.jpg

Otherwise, just park away from the main body of cars in the quieter parts of the car park.

Ross-1987

So the answer is to inconvenience the disabled and parents? I've no objection to parent and child spaces being further away from the entrance. I wonder if they were right at the farthest point of the car park would people want to use them so much?

not understanding the Parent/Child thing

Here you state Parent or child, he must think hes still a kid then. There we go solved your problem. The guy was a sixteen year old CHAV in his dad's car with his 13 year old girlfriend that is carrying someone else's baby.

I always park where I work. It's a little out of town and have to climb a huge hill to get to the town centre but it's free parking and I know the cars safe-I allow my mates to park their too when they're with me. Only problem is the lazy b*ggers hate the walk.

I agree with saxo 180, it is a pain shopping when you have a child seat. You have to open the door fully just so you can strap in or undo the seat.
It should be that the people who take the mick and park there when they should not should be fined but the know that they cant be so they just do.
Supermarkets dont care as long as people send there money in the shops.

How do some people have disabled passes though when they can still drive and walk fine?

A guy I know looks fine, walks fine and drives fine, but when he was in primary school a truck ran over his leg and crushed all the bones, now its been rebuilt using metal rods etc etc but you cant see it.

He has a car from Motability and parks in the disabled space at the train station. Folk were complaining about him since it appears he has no disablility and one day he came off the train to find the transport police waiting for him.

Excuse me son, but there are complaints of you parking in a disabled bay, and you dont look like you're disabled to me.

He simply lifted his trouser leg and showed him the horrible scars and metal rods that make up his leg and ankle and the guy was so apologetic lol.

I go to sainsburys more as the tesco ones always seem filled!

Different classes of people;)

2 1/2 year old and a 3 month old baby are not easy to get in/out of cars in spaces other than the extra wide spaces

Especially when i'm on my own with them and i need the trolley there to put them straight into so i don't have to mess about with them both :panic:

Problem is that people just don't have any consideration for others, especially old people, they think that cos they're old they have more rights than the rest of us, i see loads using the parent/child spaces just so they don't have to walk far. If i get there first, they glare at me as if to say 'you should be giving that space to me cos i'm old and pathetic'

......rant over :y:

I always get funny looks from old people as I fake a leg injury Ali G styleeee, even when there are hundreds of disabled spaces free.

I only park there to avoid getting the odd cockhead (usually old might I add) wacking his door into yours.

CANT STAND ASDA, i only park in disabled if its late at night andtheres like all of them free, wouldnt do it in the day just feels wrong..

what i hate is people park 2metres away from the parking spaces blocking cars turning in / out, cant explain it other than ur not sposed to fkn be there, it isnt any easier, and it causes problems fkn nobends.

end of the day parkin in wrong places blabla, all down to generalising a complete tosser, i would have a go at them aswell mate if u have a kid and you cant park there because some prat does

I'd actually like to see a few fixed penalty notices handed out for non-legitimate users of these spaces.

Or for those who NEED a double space because their car is more important than anyone else's, perhaps they won't object to paying double road tax?

infact just this morn, coming up a hill in my car doing 30mph some little chav about 14year old crossed over ahead of me. looked at me seen me coming about 30metres away carried on walking slowly as if expecting me to stop (i blatently wasnt) within a second i was right near him and he was directly in front of me, he hopped out of the way as i started screaming shouting waving my hands in the air, looked in my mirror and he was walking off didnt stop to say anything not such the big man he thought he was.

i just thought to my self WTF does he think hes doing, expecting cars to stop for him because hes the big man at 14odd year old

BLAME THE PARENTS!! far to soft

It's the Jeremy Kyle generation tbh

Parenting standards are way lower (in general) than they were 20 years ago, schools aren't allowed to properly discipline children and this government allow minimal punishment for severe crimes yet punish ususally law abiding, tax paying citizens (motorists) for what would be classed as minor crimes.

If people are given the impression they can get away with things it will become expected

Hanuman
7th January 2008, 16:50
true in schools / nurserys you have to literally BABY THEM, its pathetic, ur not allowed to call a child " naughty" WTF, a kid is being a little shat what are you allowed to do.. nothing, cant go near them cant call them ANY KIND OF OFFENSIVE NAME, just say excuse me there little boy may you please stop that thank you very much

and they wonder why we are at this stage.

my cousin is 15 CHAV, at xmas actually offered his dad out infront of all of us so we booted him out the house, hes always in trouble, got done by the police for running over cars, i said wtf are you on i would smash ur heads in tbh why do it, "ohhhh i dunno just for a laugh" the po po never do anything so no wonder he doesnt stop, theres no punishment, and parents let them stay out on the street corners so theres only gonna be trouble

tara180
7th January 2008, 16:56
your not alowed to say thats naughty you have to say silly instead

That's just stupid, it's alright me trying to disciplin my children at home and trying to teach them some manners but it makes it all pointless when other people will just let them get away with anything, what do these people think they're getting paid for :panic:

I woud never in a million years agree with physical punishment, however, there are other ways of doing things without just saying 'that's silly' !!!!!

I think anyone who owns land should be given the right to make a charge for unlawful parking.

Car parks charge you for using the land and they are private

Cant believe this thread is still going even if it does swing around back to the topic every once in a while.. mind you it is just saxo180 having his little moan :A:

Do most people believe that criminals/bugulars/rapists/murderers etc. do it because of bad/awful parenting?

Hmmm I may rent out our garden as a car park and see if I can make any sort of profit;

"Sorry sir but you damaged my lillies, next time be more careful with your shopping trolley. Thats a fine of £100, and an extra £50 for parking in the cats sunbathing spot... thankyou"
