Alarm fitting help ;)

I got this sparkrite SR85(U) alarm for Christmas from Halfords.

I have wired it exactly to what it says in the book, yet i cannot get the indicators to flash upon arming and disarming.

It says in the book that some cars in rare occasions have lights with a separate earth wire, and upon this i must contact them about it. I've rang rang and rang but they don't answer lol.

Do saxos lights have a separate earth wire which stops the alarm making the indicating lights flash upon arming and disarming?

Also the LED inside the car does not flash at all when its active...

Not that im having a dig but sparkrite alarms are really really crap, I would advise getting at least a half decent alarm fitted. All I have heard is bad things about them. With regards to the fitting their is a guy on here called reevesy_vtr he fits alarms for a living so ask him, but im sure he will say the same thing
