hello,
is it possible to lower my saxo vtr myself on the road? if so what will i need to use and how would i do this step by step?

basically my first thought would be "NO"
You really would need spring compressors to get them on without having to much trouble.
Depends what tools you have mate.
If your rear torsion bar ceases as well, at a garage they have the tools to sort it out. If it ceases at the side of the road you gonna have problems.
How much work ya wanting to put in? smileys/happy.gif

springs maybe? but torsion bars, GOOD LUCK! just pay a bit more n av it dun proper. toull only save a few quid doin it yourself.

torsion bars easier to do than the springs as long as they are not rusted solid

I was gonna put the springs in on my saxo but that was untill I saw what I had to remove to be able to put them on!!!!! Some cars your damper unit comes loose but on the saxo the whole damper hub assembly is attached together so you have to disconnect brakes, steering and the like!!!!

im just being abit stupid, i know someone that can do it, but his garage is proper busy, so i thought i'd be desperate and see if it can be done on the road, i'll just wait for the garage to claim down, cant wait though 50mm drop all round on 14s!
