View Full Version : will a mk2 vts engine just drop into a mk1 vts using the mk1 loom?

as above realy

i have been offered a mk2 engine with a pretty reasonable price,but i dont wanna buy it if it dont work

i would presume that it wont but i thought i would ask

I've never actually done it but I'm about 95% sure it will work fine. I was gonna stick a Mk2 in mine and I was told it would work... what the breakers told me was a mk2 VTS engine was in fact from a 106. - that works fine

Think you just use the mk1 loom and sack off the EGR valve. You might have to change a sensor or 2 but I presume it’s a swap from a Mk1 VTS? So that shouldn’t be a problem if you've already got all those sensors.

yes, you'll need to use sensors, loom and ecu from mk1 though and block off the holes in the side of the head.

see you have a 16v nova,i had a let nova,had it featured in total vaux,miss it loads
