If you look for the 3 vertical lines you can see them though.

Looks pretty banging to me,
thing is, to run that resolution on Crysis you'd need an awesome spec machine ideally.
Viper
7th January 2008, 11:41
yeah you can, which is a shame, also, its fairly deep!
a machine like mine craig? ;)

vertical lines - not one whole panel making up the screen, so will be the lines at the edges of each panel
Viper has internet friends. its all he needs

Split the screen up into 4 panels, all the same size, and you should be able to make out where they join.
Theres a white 'haze' just to the right of the 2nd post on the fence.
Just to the left of the tip of the gun there is a haze.
Just to the right of the very bottom of the gun in the bushes you can see a bit of misalignment of the bushes.

Even though its that big....do you still see the same amount of picture as people using ordinary screen?
Viper
7th January 2008, 12:11
i think you see the same amount, but just a lot bigger as it can use a larger resolution

Karl

especially for pc input.
Jacko
7th January 2008, 12:53

Karl

Dont require a backlight to run ;) therefore using less power.
Robb

so whats the advantage?
wow i just saved the enviroment an extra 30 volts of electricity.
where the satisfication in that?
Karl
7th January 2008, 13:14
When your electricity bill comes through, theres probably loads of other advantages.
I dont know any others as I havent rly read up on it.

Yeh, theres loadsa benefits of them and a huge overhead for gadgets etc too.
Theres Organic LEDS, much brighter with less powerconsumption. and they thinner than glass, so TVs etc will only be a few mm thick!
I think they can be made flexible too so you could have a great big screen which would then roll up out the way etc.
The power consumption alone means they will be a huge advantage to watches, ipods etc etc. The biggest issue with current mobile electronics is the powersupply!
I reada thing a while ago about them and it predicted they would be much more commonly used by now, hope they hurry up, i want a tv in my jacket

OLED has been out for a while it just doesn't seam to be moving aswell as i personally think it should,l but is there a real point in it? i menas its thinner yes, but people are not going to rush out when they can get bigger TV's for cheaper that are plasma and LCD, i lvoe it and would have it if it was cheaper

OLED's only moving so slow because its still so so pricy... When it comes down in price it'll start to get used more and more.. cant wait!
Judging by what ive learnt from alienwar over the last 3 years i'd wait for someone else to make it before i brought one :)
