My m8 has a 1.1 saxo and i have a vtr, he was messing around the other day and we noticed that his saxo key can open my car. he cant use the ignition but he can open my car. This was a bit of a shock to me, does this apply with all saxo? Scary if anyone with a saxo can open my car and take the stereo.

No it doesn't. Are you sure you didn't press the button by accident while he tried to unlock it!?! :p

If I were you, I'd mention something to Citroen about it.

Its a random thing that some keys will be able to open other people things, think how many locks there are and how many different combinations to cut a key to, theres gonnna be some duplicates!

I used to be able to open my mates front door with my front door key lol, even though his was a Yale lock and mine was a normal one, but he couldnt open mine.

no, it's jsut by some off chance your you have to keys that are very similar. the reason his key won't work is because of the imobiliser.

Yeah it'll be the imobilulizer

If anyone went near my car with a key i'd break their neck

Could be worn locks - if the barrel is a bit old, they can become sloppy!
