Since I changed jobs 6months ago I spend ruffly an hour travelling on the tube rather than bombing along in my S.
Someone has offered me a PSP at a desent price, was just wondering are they worth it?
Im not overly taken with them but if people reckon the games are good I might give it a go.

Yer still trucking :)
I never though it but a wet greasy carpark and a good poke will see the old girl going sideways hehehehe
Never though a £300 box on wheels could be so much fun.
Me and my mate where talking the other day and his first car was a D-reg Mk2 Fiesta Popular plus which the only thing that was electric was some of the engine and that wasnt brilliant but the Volvo is the same age (D-reg) and the only thing that isnt electric is the sunroof - Electric Windows (front and back), mirrors, heated seats, seat belt warning lights (driver and passanger), outside temp gauge, blown bulb warning, low washer bottle warning the works :) the petrol gauge has a twitch and there are a few other electrical gremlins but with 265,000k miles or thats when the clocks stopped/locked she aint doing too bad lol

Gota admit I bought the missis a DS lite the other year to improve her memory and had eye with Brain training and I enjoy playing on the DS sometime more than a console sooo I think Id agree.
And I bet sony feel abit silly looking back on UMD movies
Is anyone old enough to remember Laser disk lol

The DS's are cool, and they have Mario Kart which is possibley the best game ever made.
However you can get new PSPs for £130 now. Im getting one febuary/march as im going to barcelona in may and I want something to take with me. And also they are cool to link up to the PS3 should I get one in the future.

Nintendo have saved themselves with the DS and Im sure a lot of DS return capital went into converting the GameCube into the Wii, What a great few years for Nintendo.
Sony have had their day now I think its time to put the Playstation to rest, I mean you have only got to look at the low says and poor game list for the PS3, PSP has sold poorly, UMD just was a complete waste of time and as for BlueRay well lets just say Beta Max will have some company in room 101 in the next 10yrs :p

I heard on Xleauge TV that you can link a PSP to a PS3 on a driving game and balance your PSP ontop of your TV and you use it as a rear view mirror hihihi sounds a bit pony but the PS3 does double up as a MP3 player and UMD player if you can find anywhere that still sells em lol

The link up isnt cool... Iv tried it.
I have a psp. Iv flashed the current firmware to play homebrew games and game 'backups' ;)
I also have an application installed to play movies, I convert a movie on my pc (takes 10mins if that) then put it onto my psp. Its encoded to the the correct resoultion of the screen and you dont lose any quality with the sound or picture.
I only have a 1gb card at the moment so its very limited to how much i can have stored. I will be buying another 4gb card at the end of this month for my trip to france.
Loaded with games and plenty of movies to keep me entertained on the flight and the 5 hour coach transfer to the mountains :afro:
Homebrew - is for all the old games from the mega drive, master system, GBA, SNES everything.
Oh i can also play PS1 games too.
If you know what your doing they are a wicked piece of kit and for the price you cant argue.
Iv got mine with me at work today with some episodes of Sopranos on so i can watch them on my lunch ;)

Ive got one.
Waste of money
I got my sister a DS. So much more fun.
The PSP is a small ps2. Totally un playable when you play any game that is based in the dark
The DS is wrapped around actualy game play. my recommendation tbh

Got both the DS Lite and PSP. PSP ftw, but the battery life is limited to say the least. As described by Leckie though, it certainly can do the lot :)

psp's are getting better now you can get your home pc set up with media sharing to the ps3 then connect ur psp to your ps3 over the internet from any where (as long as you have got an internet connection) pretty cool to be fair. using it as a media server watching all you movies listening to all your tunes on your home comp using works wifi or what ever you can connect to.

and run the risk of bricking it.
Plus the PSP screen is like a mirror as soon as any light hits it.
Pathetic little things.
No battery life and since when does a train journey have wireless access all the way? :homme:
DS ftw. Mario FTW

My battery lasts 5 hour on my psp.
Cant argue with that. Hardly takes long to charge too.

Bricks are now easily fixed with the pandora battery hence why you find very few "bricked" psp's on ebay anymore;)

Just sold my psp and brought the new psp slim & lite. God it is so much lighter than the original with more internal memory so the load times are quicker now. Like it a lot better than the original. :y:
