Urgent help needed!

Unfortunately my bfs best mate crashed his Saxo last night (thread in general chat)

He thinks its going to be a scrap job. If this is the case, will he get the chance to remove any parts that are worth money (stereo/speakers etc) or can he not remove anything from the car??

Any help would be much appreciated!

He can remove the parts, but must inform the insurers that he is doing so. He must also wait until they have inspected the vehicle, just in case there is a problem with the road worthiness of the car, or similar.

He will also have to let the insurers know that they no longer have to pay out for the audio etc. He must also cause no damage to the vehicle during the removal.

That's the proper way. Most people take a huge screwdriver and hammer to get the bits they want.
