It's not the worst thing in the world if you were caught to be honest, I got caught a couple of years ago and I'm glad I did, stopped me driving like a twat. Good lesson to learn if you ask me!

Well with it been a company car, it was 3 weeks as they get a bit longer with them having to confirm who was driving the vehicle, but it's car anyway.
Yeah, you can ask them for the calibration certificate for that day as they have to be done on daily basis.

You need to be given a NIP (Notice of Intended Perosicution) within 14 days otherwise you can argue it.

it's not like a normal camera mate where it gets your reg etc. they use them so they know how fast your going and then they pull you over right away. if they didn't pull you over your fine :y:

Im not tooo sure on the guns but as far as im aware there are different one's, some pick up your information, so if your caught speeding then they will just send it out in the post but if its just the hair dryers i wouldnt worry m8, i went past one of those last year and i wasnt doing the speed limit, they need to pull you over pal!!

Sorry to say mate, but I got done by one of these just before chritsmas.
They have video evidence with them now.
It took just over a week to get the NIP letter through in the post, it is well shit.
But i have learnt my lesson so it is good in that way.

11th January 2008, 19:08
they may have been checking people for insurance
adnandunn
11th January 2008, 19:09
actually why would they be in a layby if they were checking insurance!!
marksvts
11th January 2008, 19:22
you should be fine, they usually pull you there and then. They have to get the red dot on your number plate, so maybe he missed and got the bonnet or something (I believe its really hard to aim with) - meaning its invalid and he cant do you!
