Paint Spraying

Hi all.

I'm thinking of hiring a paint sprayer and painting my body kit myself, has anyone any idea how easy this process would be?

I would go to a body shop but i like doing things myself, anyone done it before and got any pointers or views

i personally think this is do-able.

id say you need to be quite strict about it, and be very patient.

basicly ur main concern is the de-greasing of 'everything' u wanna paint if it aint first hand becuase if not, it will have a shit finish then whats the point!
u shud buy this stuff called suger soap, its a white powder which u mix with warm water and apply and it is a v. effective detergent.

prepare an area which is weather proof, (shed or garage) and just make sure it somewhere u wont have to disturb all the kit at all until its finished.

and be sure to apply at least 2 coats of clear laquer after to bring out the colour and strengthen the paint, becuase a kit is a very chip - happy area.

before you hire the kit get the kit prepared ready to be srayed, save yourself some hire time.
