Just anyone know good software to use to monitor the temp of my system. I dont want a big application running in the back ground. Just something light in the system tray.
I wana monitor the temps then hopefully disconnect a few fans in my coolmaster case as the beasty fan on the back is pretty loud. Well it isnt, but it would be much better if it wasnt running.
Also whats a healthy temp to run at.
Ta.

I'm a bit temp conscious as well so i use SpeedFan, Really good piece of software.

Max CPU temp table here, Suggested temp should be 20-30°C below max.

How about getting a coolermaster Aerogate2 and plugging that in2 ur pc? Iv had one for years and its what i always use for temp control + you can plug the fans into it and adjust them on the fly.

Think theyv changed the education rules, you need to be on a .ac.uk network to get it
Think theres a VNC viewer for mac called Chicken VNC or something which should let you access windys computers, havnt ever tried it though as i still have a windows desktop on my main pc.
The aerogate things should cost too much i dont thinkg £30 absoute tops but more likely to be les than £20 by now.
eBuyer should sell a little selection of fan controllers which might do the trick too.

Yeah its exact name is 'Chicked Of The VNC' i think very random name but its what i used to use, plus theres a tutorial to set-up all the sharing that needs to be done before you can even use the client on a website somewere can find it fi you want?
I have a .sch.uk account so i suppose thats probs why mine worked :(

Unfortunately with a fresh install you need to rename the Temps, Bit of a ball-ache but can be done via load testing or just check the bios before boot.
On mine there is Aux, CPU, Mobo and HDD.
Theres a few configerations here, might have your mobo on it. http://www.almico.com/sfhandleconfig.php
