Right

My car went in for a service and MOT today, it failed on;

Exhaust blowing - severe
Wishbone
Brakes

that comes up to, including labour more than £300

I tried to fix exhaust but its pretty bad

THEN, the bad news... HEADGASKET! :(

They didnt even bother servicing it, everything was ok after changes on MOT, just the one major issue.

So, I need your help on what to do, do i go all out, get a VTS lump in it?
In which i would need a good VTS engine and labour for cheap...

or

change the headgasket, which they said would be £300-400
I would want to go somewhere else for this, im sure id get it cheaper tbh!

Help and advice?
im peed off :n:

If you can afford insurance and running costs of VTS,I'd go for that. It will prob work out to a couple of hundred quid more in long run, but thats the way I'd go.

What mileage does your VTR lump have out of interest?

Its just hit 94k mate, lol

I should of expected all of this when i bought it, but the guy (a copper) I got it off has ripped me off badly!

Bought it in November, apparently, brakes had been changed and everything was fine.
