Don't think you can get a rear strut for the saxo as it's torsion bar... welcome anyway lol.

Have a look in the suspension section, or have a search..plenty of threads roaming about matey. If you go to lower sometimes it can be seized which is a bit of a bugger.

yeh same on corsas the bolts sieze so you cant drop the axle to get the dampers off!

cant seem to find any info on how it works compared to the usual beams and wishbones! is it a simlar set up or different? and how do they affect handlin for better or worse etc?

tbh, don't know mate hahaha, only driven the saxo lol, normally a 40mm drop will give the saxo great handling.:y:

yeh same with most cars! liek the sat on its hoop look tho! looks so much better! 40 doesnt quite drop it far enough to give it taht effect especially on 16s which is what am hopin to sit it on!

thanks anyway mate! al let u know if i eventually find out how it works lmao! :y:

as the rear of the car is on torsion bars, there is no strut brace needed. what you may have seen is a roll cage with an arch to arch support beam...

welcome to the forums anyhow...

no it wasnt a cage was jus the beam goin across btween teh tops of the two struts in the boot! looked liek a scaffoldin tube with bits welded on end to hold under the struts lol looked quite good! seen it on 2 saxos! mate has a pic from one of teh meets them sax's wre at a fink! al get him to try find it show you what a mean!

if you cant buy them i wont bother cba getin one custom made

There are no struts on the rear of saxos!!!! ONly on the fronts. The rear beam comprises of torsion bars and trailing arms that the wheels attach to. None of it goes up in to the upper arch cavity at all!!!!

What has been done is to brace the chassis with a tube of some sort

show us these pics - would be interested to see whats been done!

Yeah it won't do the same thing as a strut brace as theres no strut to brace! Its a show thing....

End of the day you don't need it so why spend extra money on something thats not needed and looks pap on its own!!!

If you had a full safety devices roll cage in there then you could put and extra bar between the tops of the two arches for extra support... but that would be the only time i'd expect to see it there...
