done a quick search but i cant find any threads with the location of the ABS sensors so how do you get to them? and how much are they to replace?

Some have just 2 (at the front) others have 4, so one on each wheel. The sensors read the splines on the driveshafts, (at the front) and they work similarly at the rear. So the wheel sensors are located behind the brake discs roughly. They're about £60 - £70 each.

You'll need a diagnostic check carried out. This will report which ABS sensor has failed.

You can pick the sensors up from a scrap yard for around £20 each

No mate. But my Haynes manual only mentions there being 2 sensors, so I assumed other models of Saxo's / 106s might possibly be the same...
