Hey guys

I just sold my gloss black wheels to Alextoffie.

http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120170

I covered them in bubble wrap and duck tape then stuck two together so there were two parcels instead of four.

http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w150/VTR_Craig/SL370130.jpg

All the wheels were facing upwards and wheel bolts in a bag, in bubble wrap in between the two wheels.

Because i had lock nuts i had four spare wheel nuts that i couldn't find until i had wrapped them all so i put them on top in an envelope them covered in brown parcel tape. (you can see that big mess of brown parcel tape on top of one of the parcels)

I also put signs of each side of the parcels saying 'this way up'

The couriers came yesterday and picked them up, and i put them in the van myself next to each other against the side of van.

Alex got them this morning and has shown the pictures of them covered in chips, scratches and he recieved 11 wheel bolts and 4 lock nuts with key (i wrapped up 12 wheel nuts and 4 lock nuts and key plus the four wheel bolts on top of the package)

Also he noticed that the wheel rims were facing downwards and a centre cap has been smashed.

Now to say i am highly fucked off is an understatement, i know for a fact that i wrapped them up well using a whole roll of duck tape, parcel tape and I also used 30 large pieces of bubble wrap ensuring the rim faces were covered in 3 layers of bubble wrap. the whole wheel was covered in bubble wrap, even the tyres.

i know they aren't my wheels anymore but i still feel bad as it happened during the transaction.

I have pictures of the wheels on the car, then off the car for that for sale thread showing them in perfect condition (except that small chip)

I took some more for alex when i was weighing them for courier services and then also got more pictures of them being wrapped and how they were when they left my house.

what can be done?

Take it up with the courier!

Thats what i have told alex to do as he arranged the courier.

I told him to play hell with them

Get them to pay for new wheel nuts, powder coating, courier charges and time.

are they likely to pay?

Alex

depends on the courier, but surly theres a damaged goods number he can call.

btw, Which courier was it?

get intouch with your courier tell them the situationand see what they say

they was in mint condition (apart from a chip) and well wrapped when they left you and you have photo evidence of this

^^ agreed thats dissgusting!! Why can't they just bloody read. But in fair you are meant to check them before you sign so they could cop out that way. Best bet is to get onto them a.s.a.p

It was UPS

They didn't get me to sign anything, i did ask three times if i recieved anything or had to sign anything

The pictures of everything are still in my camera, will they have a date on them as i wrapped them up the day before

Had a feeling this would be you when I saw the title:(
As said, tell him to talk to the courrier about it and give them a hard time. Least you have photos for proof!

If you didn't sign for anything then your in a better position. Is there any insurance on the delivery?

Don't know about insurance as Alex sorted it all out.

I really don't like couriers so always say collection only.

Last time i sent some wheels, i gave them to the guy, he weighed them then chucked them on the back of the van, I was like...erm fuck off a second, did you just throw some wheels?

lucky they were VTR alloys so the tyre is wider thean the rim

I asked him twice if i recived a invoice or anything, he said i should have got a reciept (i'm guessing alex gott these)

I then went back to him after thinking a while before he set off and asked him again, he waved a machine at me and said its all electronic

grrrrrrrrrr

Thankyou

I don't like dishonest people and to be honest if i was spending quite a bit of money on something then i want to know all about it with pictures.

If someones sells there wheels with two pictures then there maybe something to hide.

Heres the pictures i got of the wheels since they have been off the car.

Hi i Send wheels regurly for people on here and my self they look very well wrapped. I have only had it happen once was wheels i sent my self to cut along story short they never paid. I myself have never dealt with ups. I used dhl and parcel force althought i preffer parcel force dhl are alot cheaper. Best thing you can do is phone ups straigh away ask for a claim form check how much each package was insured for take all pictures of damage fill in forms and send it back with them. But if im being honest mate chances of you getting insurance pay out is slim.
