Please could someone tell me
how come i have been driving a peugeot 106 for nearly 2 years and never been pulled by the cops and now i have had my gold saxo for less than a week and got pulled last night! Does this make sense?

I've found it the other way round haha. When I had my relatively standard Polo's I got pulled over a few times. Since I've had Saxo's I've never been pulled over!!!

I thought I'd never be able to get away from the side of the road once I bought my VTR haha

u need to have a strong grip strength and be able to carry heavy men over your shoulder through a fire... and not be scared of heights, its very intense.

well last weke i got pulled over by under coverd police... spoke to a few people who stoped to have a noise they got told to f off was funny guy turned round and said keey yer blody hat on mate lol
but yea 2 fines... and told to get home ... (no asbo tho)
thats 2 fines for backbox and 1 for lights -.-...

i suppose they dont know if your drunk or on drugs without stopping ya tho mate a lot of it is sterotypical they think ahhh he might not have insurance etc...

im not against cops got pulled over by a couple that were understanding and just taking care treally but then some just plainly do there job and dont listen to a word ya say which is fair nuff as most of it is bullshit when claiming ya didnt see the red light etc...

well first 1 was for ragging it in middle of town making it really loud (lol) they toped me at my house... gay...
second one was from under cover police doing a check (at this point it was broken) and they didnt notice it was broken) they said that it was illegal and not as standerd etc...
the lights (not the rear lights) front lights was angel eyes the shit ones so i have changed the bulbs to blue and they say any blue side lights are illegall... so i had a fine for backbox and lights...

so i got my revenge and asked
"right since u lot come down HARD on people like me, heres a blody question for you... saxo VTR/S body kis is standerd on the VTR/S correct... so am i allowed to stick the body kit on my saxo which doesent come with this kit as standerd..."
(previously the police oficer said) "you are not allound any modifications to cars unless they are standerd... e.g new lights... etc"
so i asked him that question and he was confused... and tried to explain all this bull shit so i just goes
"i want a yes no answer as i know the answer... i have asked..."
so he eventualy said..
"well if its a standerd citroen part then i dont see why not..."
i said exatly now let me get home coz im fed up of being here for like the 4th time getting all qs asked... breathalised... etc...
i was gona say to them why dont u video this and say right uv pulled me for this so many times why do u keep doing it :n: god i hate police from forfar...

the montrose police couldent care less.. i love getting pulled by them... end up haveing a chat about stuff then he/she just says take care now :) i think they forget what they stoped me for as soon as i spoke lol

Maybe if they didn't have to deal with people like you, then they would be able to catch the "piss heads and speeders" like you state. You were given two fines because you had two defaults on your car. That's simple enough to understand. I'm sure you would have been pulled up about it on your MOT so the police have done you a favour in picking you up on it now. Maybe if you co-operated with them a little more, they may have let you go with a caution?

From reading your last post, it does seem you need to calm down a little and just do what they ask? I could then see the fines being waivered.

When I hate a 1.1 black Saxo, never got pulled, when I got a Silver Furio, I got pulled over every other day for no reason, but sometimes they had reasons im not perfect, now I have a black C2 never been pulled or looked at by the police.

Completely agree, we're paying for them to do their job properly and thats what they are doing. If you in any way give them abuse, not respect the law, being incredibly uncooperative expect a fine being thrown at you. The police are there to stop lives from being taken away by silly drivers with illegal vehicles-how would you feel if a car came towards you on a very dark country lane and it's lights werent on or were rubbish and you hit them, they're doing nothing wrong, be co-operative and if they find anything that you knew was illegal then you deserve the spanking otherwise, apologise and they may let you off with a caution :y:

No mate i thought i heard of a spate of crimes commited where people were posing in undercover cars and stoping other motorists in out of the way locations, and then often commiting armed robbery, especially on lorrys, but was being used against other road users too.

apparently there is a number you can ring now 112 or 221 or something, they can tell u whether it is for real or not, i beleive by law you are allowed to do this before stopping for any police vehical.

i go out in my vts with my hoody hood up just to see what would happen but didnt see any cops and christ you get some dodge looks from other folks. ive had it 9 weeks now and not been pulled yet. not that it would matter as alls above board. there only doing their job at end of day.

Never been pulled in my saxo yet, but the day i pasted my bike test, took my L plates off my TZR125, i got pulled over comin out of college! Said pulled me over because it was a small bike!!!

I already have 3 points on my licience before for my L plate breaking at the rear of my bike as a learner, not gonna do it again. lol

I belive that they have to have a legitimate reason to pull you over now, not just cos dont like the look of you (because of raceism claims) so i always ask for the reason im getting stopped, just in case i get nicked mite help in court lol...

Well if they don't have the flashing blue lights, then why should you let them pull you over? I wouldn't. And plus... even if they were undercover, they'd probably be in uniform. It's not like the films or The Bill ;)

They could give any reason though. Of course they wouldn't say "because we felt like it". They could say they've seen a car similar to yours that has been driving wrecklessly. Could come out with a number of reasons.

Just don't mess them about. Let them do their jobs and everybody's a winner :)
