2003 Furio - Going Back To Standard!

Hello all,

This is my second saxo ive had first one was a 2000 forte
I first bought some "cartoon" number plates & max power seat covers for it but soon saw the light when joined sax-p! soon got rid of the forte,

And decided to get a furio.
After a long time searching for the right one that was close to me and diddnt have a mega amount of miles i went for this 53 plate not a mark on her with 17k miles!

Ive had the car for nearly two weeks now and had some vtr wheels refurbed,new tires and locking bolts fitted last night in the rain!! so car is dirty:homme: took some pics this morning so this is how its looking now

finally got round to smoking the lights after all the crap weather weve been having.
it felt so wrong putting my headlights in the oven!
anyway much more mods to come when i get paid in 1 week time im thinking lower and tints possibly exaust if their money left! if not march!

Just recieved my sport badges thanks to willsy! they look great and while i was at it i fitted my mirror caps i bought off my mate for £5!

lights and wheels look quality, i think you should think about lowering next and leaveing ;) dont bother with tints.

Right... Car is now lowered not slammed or anything like that but its all lowered all round 40mm on spax spring and dampers..

So i made the hour and 15 min drive to 4Extreme.. and waited for 2 hours!

Then it took me 4 and a half hours to get home!, crash on the motorway grrr

5 mins on 150 i checked them around 3 mins

best thing to do is while the lights are in the oven get a knife and leave it in a mug of hot water so that when you get the lights out you can run it round the edges then they will pop off with no problems

Also i would advise anyone planning on smoking their headlights to buy 6 plastic clips that hold the "brow" under the headlight in place as they are crap and snap easy! and you should follow the guides on here as to which parts you can spray as if you spray the reflective parts you will fail an mot

I shall def be doing my headlights although slightly worried about over doin em or sumink lol... looks great from behind to ;) lol gonna tcut my badges as it does make it look so much better. Your bumpers are very black, mine come up when i use back to black... have u? or had them sprayed, Good thread keep goin ;)

nope just good old back to black. doing the headlights are easy just put them in an oven at 150 for 5ish mins and check then run a hot knife round the edge and the glass should pop off

yep you can do the fog lights, their is a guide on here i will be doing mine very soon

Hey, yeh no problem would be fine if you needed a hand, your new cam pics look mint mate,and i think the ride height it nice.. indeed not too low. best place for interior is ebay,someone breaking a 106 gti like in pistonheads.. etc.

Yeah think hey just clip in mate BMC is in the processof being fitted, had to faff about getting the right hoses for it as the one you get with the bmc is a 70mm and the furio throttle body is like 50 or 53

tbh id go for 40 mate, when i got mine done at 40 i thought no i want to go lower. But from what people have been telling me 40 is just right.

Ok well i got my magnex, thanks to SubtleVTR (dan)

Got round go getting it fitted today, i had the backbox and centre section Welded to save faffing with putty it sounds ok, but not over loud!

Needs a bit of a clean tho maybe some sort of metal polish

hey pred, i didnt do the fitting. my dad was going to weld it as he does that for a living
but we cudnt be assed messing about with it for the sake of £20-£30

all they did was cut a bit of tube off the back box and matched it to the car to see if the needed more cut off or more tube adding then welded it up

i need a new magnex sticker and it needs a polish to make it shine!

magnex sticker will be more than likely very expensive and get some degreaser on it followed by some autosol metal polish :y:

Yes Jim I sold it, it was either I dropped an S lump in it or went for a S and I couldn’t be arsed faffing around finding an engine and getting someone to fit it. Knowing my luck it would have never runned properly.

I got the CDA from kamracing, and a reducer from siliconehoses.co.uk 70-57mm

fitted really easy and sounded nice too
