first of its a mk2 vts in icelandic blue on an 03 plate, not got any pics when i first got it but we all no what one looks like.

think the vts rims looked better tbh and not a fan of showcages. put the standard petrol cap on and a shorter arial.

other than that mate its a sweet motor, looks mint lowered on the vts rims

why does everyone hate the petrol caps like this, the grille was £70 from larkspeed. the wheels are 16's with 195/40 toyo's, yeah i love it on the vts wheels too gonna get them powder coated in white for summer.

just a small update had the clutch, gearbox oil and full service done the other day the car feels alot better to drive now but also found out i need a new gearbox because this one is whinig quite bad so i found one today at a mates mates scrap yard off an 02 vts with only 32,000 miles covered for only £175 also fitted some bonnet raisers but not too sure weather to keep them on or not due to people keep tellin me my bonnets open lol anyway hears a picture, sorry about the quality it was taken on my phone

think it was about £70 from abp performance, yeah it fitted perfect it also has a threaded hole for your lamba sensor

update.

went and picked a leather gti interior up yesterday, drove all the way down to dorset from manchester took me and my mate 12 hours there and back with a few stops, fitted it today just needs a good clean and treat tomorrow and also need to get my door cards retrimmed thanks djflipsaxo for the sale.

finally got round to treating the leather today it came up really well, i also fitted the A-pillars i got with the interior they look so much better that the cream ones you get in the saxo, i also recived my door speaker pods so got them fitted yesterday, just need my door cards re-trimming now, what do you think them guys and girls?

Love the interior. The GTI seats, and those door pods... the door card retrims will finish it off nicely :)
I like those alloys, i'm thinking of going for something similar when i get around to buying some.

Get the 16'' mate i got them from fcs off seph on 106owners and im soo glad.. i am fitting my tuesday morning.. they are great alloys and look good as well mate... get a couple of quotes though as i got mine brand new at fcs, for £300.00 with brand new tyres, but that was a bargain.. but yeh halfords are doing 16'' for a discounted £450.00 brand new with performance tyres mate.. so check your local halfords and ebay etc.

16's look good, thats about it really... Can get scrubbing sometimes, but your car
is a nice height and don't think it will rub tbh.

just a small update, attempted to fit the gti door cards i got with my seats today and realised i didn't get the handles with them so put my vts ones back on,

i did manage to fit the black b and c pillars which look really good i had already fitted the a pillars, id just like to no if theres any way of dyin the roof lining, anyone

I'd just have a look around your local DIY stores.. see if they have any fabric dyes that would do it.. Or carpet dye, something like that.
Shouldn't be too hard to do i don't think, and it'd more or less complete the interior :y:

bought my car detaling stuff today, got the meguiars clay starter kit and a new microfiber towel, also bought 3 litres of mer polish of my dads mate for a fiver, what a bargain, just hope its good stuff, ill post pics of it when ive done it tomorrow,

SMALL UPDATE

got a new gearbox mount going on on friday because the rubber in this one is knackered
and resulting in a knocking noise when changing gear, also got hold of some nearly new wishbones and polybushes from sammy also got some gti door handles of sammy which is the only thing missing from my full gti interior, so door cards will also be going on

had a vibrating noise coming from the car while in motion, thought it was the exhaust as it was touching the bumper so ive moved it, its not resolved the problem but looks miles better
