Hi all,
I've just got home asfter a sodding long day at work to find some pleasant Chatham pikey has kkeyed the shit out of my bonnet!
My excess for insurance is £250 - so does anyone know a decent paint-shop in Kent, as near as Chatham as possible... and does anyone have a clue as to how much it's likely to cost to be fixed? It is literally just the bonnet lid.
Fast responses would be most appreciated!
Thanks
Russ

dont even phone your insurance mate. I would say it should be around 150, this is a total guess though. You say its keyed to fuck so most of the money is going to go on the labour of sanding it down falt again, the painting wont cost to much

agree with scott wont be overley expensive but these things happen!
to compare with what im having done, new passenger wing fitted n sprayed, baseplate sprayed and put back on car with mirror touched up,4 inch long scratch on boot sorted n boot fully resprayed, all chips sorted, laquer where bumpers n rub strips colour coded re-done and scratch on door sorted n sprayed £300!! smileys/smiley17.gif

my bodyshop, is in a bit of a run down farmlane, but they are top lads.. and perfect work !
To limit the cost, remove the bonnet, sand down, and prepare it (primer) berfore taking it to them for spraying.

it also depends on what coulour the car is because as well as painting the bonet you have to 'flick'the paint onto the wings so that the coulour matches if its posseden blue that is 1 hard coulour to match properly work in a paint shop c mota spray

Hey fella's! (And gals!)
Well it's been dropped off at a pant shop that my old man used when his Celica got keyed a couple of years ago. £200! smileys/smiley11.gif
As sim69r said the paint gets flicked over the wings too - which may help a tiny scratch I've got there too! Also it'll remove the two stone chips I have on the bonnet, too!
Once it's fixed I gotta sell it as I need to mve house in May - I'm upto London! smileys/smiley3.gif
I'd love to find the guy that keyed it, but it's more than likely to be one of the chav's that hang around in the area - which one I'll never know... but if you mess with one of them you mess with all of them - fucking inbred twats they are! smileys/smiley7.gif
Anyone interested in it? its only done 24K (oh, and its green!) I want about £4500 for it.

i had the whole left side of mine keyed a year ago, and then had the other side keyed a month ago. Not safe anywhere! Cost me around £250 for each side to be resprayed in surrey. quality job too
