Got round to lowering my raer yesterday and today. Fookin torsion bars are a pain in the scrotum. It started snowing as well. I'm gonna leave the front till next weekend.

nice mate, looks good. i tried lowering my back end a tad more this weekend, i ended up aborting it. It wasnt the torsion bars that was the trouble (but im sure they wud have given me stick) it was the fucking bolts that hold em in (the torx screws) i jus cud not undo them, no matter how much i tried, and all the methods i jus cudnt get them loose

Danvtr_9 - The back is 45mm down, looks a bit more because of the ice in the boot and it's parked on a slope i think.
It isn't really a hard job, just time consuming and a begger if you can't get the bars out.
Alex - Eibach springs and billies mate smileys/smiley4.gif
Sax_stu - Perseverance buddy;)
Those wee cam shaped washers are a nightmare to put back in to place as well.
Cheers for the comments guys.

yeah i could see them washers behind, jus cud not undo those pissing bolts. i will try another day, think ive nackered the head on the bolt on the drivers side, ill never get it out. if i do ever get them out im replacing them with a decent set of hex bolts....easier to get undone.
Anyway mate good job

I honostly didn't have much of a problem with those, just needed the initial elbow grease and then the came out fine. You don't really want to be fucking the torx heads up.

yeah i know, hopefully there still be enough of the torx shape left for me to be able to get it undone, other wise it maybe a case of using drills and easy outs smileys/smiley5.gif .
wat did u use to undo them, proper torx socket bit used in a ratchet (sp)?
And how did u manage to get a tool to the bolt behind the brake disk (passengers side) in that little space?

Yeah i used the torx bit and ratchet. For the awkward bolt at the passenger side i got the torx bit into the bolt and used mole grips to loosen the bolt. The driver's side is very fiddly as well, loads of brake hoses and shit in the way.
