Yes you can stay on the same policy but be warned that quinn up the price of your policy when you tell them that u've passed. You've still gotta tell them aswell. May be worth asking them how much the price jump will be before you take out the policy :y:

Also i was wondring that when i take out the policy for the provisanal licence, i would think i will have it for a month or two but when i pass my test and want to switch to a full licence do i have to pay the deposit again?

No you just pay how ever much the insurance goes up by. Or if you pay monthly for your insurance they might up the monthly payments by a bit.

it goes up quite alot, as when you've got a provisional license your driving with someone with 2+ years of driving and over 21 (supposed to be)
have you had a quote yet?

I was quoted £1200..which works out at (i think) £108 a month. But i have no idea how much it will cost when i tell them i have passed..probably shoot up.

I took my policy out in July 2007 for a 1.1 Desire 2002.
I was quoted £1200 from Quinn, paid it all was happily driving.
We were told at the time of taking the policy out that the price WOULDNT go up when I pass. On September 1st they changed their policies and your premium would go up when you pass your test.
Anyway...
I passed my test on September the 16th and rang them up, told them I had passed. The person on the end of the phone told me we had to pay a further £517 now. That was including £130 discount for Pass Plus (which cost £145 to do it).
Anyay, I came off the phone and told my dad and he said that they told us we wouldnt have to pay anymore. We rang a further 2 times and they said we still had to pay it witin 14 days.
Then my mum came home. She hit the roof because she knew what they had told her. So she rang uop and asked to speak to the manager and he said all his staff were wrong and we didnt need to pay anymore because the policy was taken out BEFORE the new rules were brought in.
So we saved spillin another £517. One thing that did piss me off was that I paid £145 to do my passplus and they only give you £130 discount. Whats the funking point in doing it?

Alex, if i were you Id check when you took the policy out.
Like I said earlier, they let me off because they changed the rules after i had taken the policy out.
