Please guys i need some help???
my much loved saxo vts is once again giving me problems.
where do i start last sunday my car was fine i did my normal routine turned it off, held the alarm silencer button for 3 seconds till led illuminates constantly then locked her up an kissed her goodnight.
monday morning went to turn her on was turning over fine but wouldnt fire up (engine management light was on whilst it was turning over) got it recovered to a local garage who put it on a code reader and they notified me that i was in need of an rpm sensor?? i phoned up citroen who told me it was a speed sensor bought it had it fitted same problem occurred. but this time would be driving and in high revs would feel like it was holding back? then sometimes would be driving and it would cut out?.
took it back to the garage who then sold me a fuel relay and pump been fine since.........until tonight was sitting in traffic car got hot engine cut out? left it for a while turned the ignition a couple of times and finally started came home pulled up and revs were sticking at 2000rpm on idle please tell me someones had similar problems and someone please help!!!!!

Dont sell it mate, just wait till everyones up tommorow (not that your gonna sell it before then lol). With alot of these things something small can go wrong and cause a fuck load of grief. Just be patient ;D

what a great help that is :homme:
have you had it plugged back in to the diagnositc reader to see if it comes up with anything else?
it sounds as if its something to do with your fueling.
coil pack?

probably get laughed at here but my 1.1 sometimes revs for no reason and what it is is plastic outercoating on throttle cable gets stuck around a loop worth a check. lol:afro:

idle speed control valve/stepper motor?
dunno much about saxo's but i'd imagine it to be part of the throttle body

if it was over heating check you water/coolent levels to start with, it sounds like a fueling issue, in the mourning see if you have a spark as that wil norrow it down. remove the spark plugs, put them into the coil pack and a tough your rocker cover while some one turns it over. check for sparks. DONT TOUCH THE SPARK PLUGS WHILE TURNING IT OVER AS YOU WILL HAVE ABOUT 20,000V GOING THROUGH YOUR HAND
