Hi peepz,

My girlz dad has just given me his sons saxo x as he had brought another and it's just been sat on the drive, my pug is off the road for a few weeks atleast, so I'm going to use it until then and then try and sell it on for him.

As you can see in the pic it's got 2 exhausts, and is REALLY loud, so much so that once you get to 65+ (yes it does get there!) the in cab noise is unbearable and you can't hear the radio even when up really loud.

I'm a n00b when it comes to exhausts, but is there anything I can do to reduce this in cab noise .... also how much do you reckon to get rid of the 2 exhausts as I reckon having them would reduce the sale price ... espeicially once someone drives it and hears the din!

erm, rip them off and whack a standard exhaust system on there. If its unbearable inside, imagine how much of a nob you'll look whilst driving around in it.....

How much do you reckon it'll be to take em off and put a normal exhaust on then?

The sound outside isn't too bad actually, even when accelerating, it's just inside the car that it's a din...

No offence, but whoever put them exhausts on in the first place has done a right naff job. The holes dont match anyway. And if you do take the exhaust off, you will need another standard bumper from the scrappys or something as there will be that gaping hole there that will still decrease the value of the car. As for cost wise, is it just the back box aspect or a whole system etc?
