engine mounts

i fink my engine mounts need changin cuz when i accelare or brake i hear a small clunk. does anyone know if this would be an expensive job and could i do it myself?

you certainly could do it yourself, the onlything is the gear box mount needs pressed in which requires a big press. Not really that expensive even if replacing all three

Sounds like it could be drop link. Does it only knock when you accelerate and brake? Does the engine seem to over vibrate or vibrate more then usual. Just take a look at drop link bolts under drivers footwell to see if they're loose and you could check the gearbox mount as if this was gone it would cause the engine to move forwards and backwards more so then the other two. But to be safe i'd check all the mounts anyways.

well sometimes when i start off or slow down just before i stop i do feel that it vibrates abit.

also where would i find the mounts. i've got a 1.1i sx 98(s) reg 2door

one under battery, other under ecu, the other if you have it is behind the gear box
