Hey everyone.

Been away for bit,as I've had 5 or 6 cars since my last Saxo. But I'm back here now. Couldn't stay away for long it seems!
I'd forgotten how much fun the saxos were!!
I'm also very glad to be back and part of the friendliest online community I know of!

Anyhow, here's my most recent purchase. It's a 2000/01 X reg Furio.
got it fairly cheap for what it is, decent mileage, tax, mot, etc.
Pug 205 GTI grooved front brakes and Black Diamond Pads,15" TSW Fusions,106Gti gearbox,Uprated clutch, horrible weird exhaust (getting changed soon) Cobra Monaco S bucket seats, Sparco harnesses, Clifford alarm/immob, Alpine stereo

And this is how she stands at the moment.

Installed a sub/amp. Although this is only borrowed currently, as I've just decided to completly strip and cage it at some point.

I've ordered lots of things for it, and getting new wheels 2moro hopefully, which will be getting refurbished and painted in a different colour in next couple of weeks.
New exhaust soon.
On the lookout for another VTS/GTI gearbox at the mo too.

(Yes the front bumper is a slightly different colour, but its not actually that noticeable, and I'm hoping to sort it when the key marks are repaired)

I'm going to start on the new look 2moro, so will update as and when.

Right, today was time for stripping!!

Started off taking out the front seats.

Boot carpet, rear belts, install all gone

Doorcards, rooflining etc will be coming out next weekend prob. Need carbon doorcards first. and to find a roll cage that I like

lol, it is quite noisy in there. All good though!
I will keep removing more and more this week. I'll see what I can do with the dash.
I even contemplated having no front seats too..But decided against that! :oops: (Trust me, I couldnt drive the thing very well, even just round my garage area)

Like the sound of the plans actually, strip, brakes and chassis then go outrageous on the engine!!! You have the spare one to work on while you run the car

The VTR lump is getting sold. I'm going to get a VTS engine soon, rebuild that and then do something special there, then drop that in. :A:

I'm starting refurbing the wheels this weekend, and hopefully have them done by the end of the weekend. Then I will hopefully get them balanced the following weekend and then get them on!

New exhaust asap. gearbox needs sorting asap.
Full roll cage, dash is being done as we speak, just dropped her into the bodyshop today for couple of minor touch-up bits.
New suspension setup. Lots to do still !! lol

Lol, you're right, I should've done really. Mind you, I'm not sure how long that engines going to be staying so may not have been worth it.

I intend to do some track action this year. need my gearbox doing first thouhg, but that should be done in Feb I hope.

Its suprisingly different actually! Rear seems so much higher now, what with having no weight in it. Handles even more like a go kart now too!!

Cheers matey. Its mentally loud in there now! Cant hear the person next to you on the motorway. And will even worse when I get a new exhaust lol !
But thats the whole idea. Its a track based car. not designed for comfort!
