Hopefully an easy one:

With my engine about ready to go into the car im just trying to work out exactly where some hoses/tubing are actually going or supposed to go.

First up on this picture you can see 2 pipes that are closely linked together and come from round the back of the inlet manifold. One goes into the injector piping to the right of the end injector and the other goes into the end of the fuel rail.

These is gather are the fuel pipe from the fuel pump and the return hose going back to the fuel pump

Assuming that im correct these arent a problem

The bit that im unsure of is the other pipe just above those which comes out of the top of the inlet manifold. seemingly it appears to go up and over the engine between the timing belt cover and the cam covers.

So the questions are:

What is this pipe for? and where does it go?

Can i order a replacement one as mine has a split in it?

I have checked the citroen parts diagrams for its location and part number for replacement but as i dont know what its for im unable to pinpoint any part number etc

Other pics of pipe:

Thanks in advance for any assistance with this

Goes to the fuel tank breather in the o/s inner wing. Purge valve i think it may be called.

there will also be a plug from your wiring loom going down to it.

Might be on the citroen parts under fuel tank or fuel system.

heres a pic of the valve

and a pic of where the pipe joins. Ignore the bolt thats just blocking the end while the car is apart.

Possibly also called something like charcoal canister pipe.

And yes you're correct about the two pipes are fuel send/return. Although i'm not sure which one is which on a VTS.

sorry to hijack but

that pipe willsy is on about could you make it from some other kind of pipeing as ive snapped the elbow that goes into the airbox, part of the elbow is stuck inside.

im wondering can i replace the bit where it joins in the wing run a different kind of pipe to the airbox?

As per text, you dont need it. just block the hole in the tb
