If the circuit board itself isn't damaged it should just swap over. It must come apart to be able to change the battery. I was after a new one but when I found out it would cost over £50 to get a fob reprogrammed. I decided to get a toad ai606 alarm off ebay for £30 and fitted for £30 comes with two fobs that do the doors.
