Its good to back on Sax-P and good to have my backside planted in another VTS. I found this on the Autotrader last month when I wasnt really looking to buy a new car with it being so close to Christmas etc. Upon ringing the advertiser he told me the car was in Nottingham which is about 150miles away. So I called up my mate that night and we went down to view the car the next morning with only the sellers word it was in good condition as there was only 1 pic on the ad. When I got there I found this :D

The car is totally standard, has a fully documented Citroen Service History, old M.O.T's HPI check and 1 owner from new (who was a middle aged woman). When i brought it back home I took it to Manic Motors who are mainly a Saxo specialist to get everything checked over. They said that it is one of the nicest examples they have ever driven and can tell that the mileage is genuine due to how tight and smooth the car is. Im going to really look after this 1 and will keep you updated as the progress is made. Any comments welcome!!! Thanks.

What happend to the type r?

Sold the type r mate. There was just something missing from it that didnt really justify the 13k I spent on it. TBH the saxo is a much more responsive car and feels a lot quicker round town and around corners. The type r only really comes to life on a track imo.

Time to get this thread moving! Car is booked into Manic Motors this morning to have a full major service. I have a fsh with car, bu no record of cambelt. So, before I start spending a fortune on it, gonna get it serviced as you never know when the cambelt might wave goodbye. As soon as I get it back, going straight onto Kam to order some bits. Will keep you posted ;)

Right. Car has been into Manic Motors for a full major service. All i can say to anyone who lives in the North East is do not hesitate to take your car there for any work that needs doing. My car has came back a lot quicker and smoother. Im over the moon. Kam Racing called me yesterday and confirmed that my parts I ordered yesterday should be delivered by Wednesday at latest. As soon as i recieve them ill put up a few pics. Car is booked ino Manic Motors for this Wednesday to have them all fitted. :D

Bilstein + Eibach suspension, supersprint race exhaust and raceland manifold. Was gonna get the supersprint manifold but couldnt justify spending the extra cash on it.

got my parts fitted on thursday. Got bilstein b8 with eibach springs, supersprint race exhaust(which sounds unreal) and raceland manifold. Will get some pics up as soon as I find my camera batteries. :)

I remeber ages ago when my car was in Manics Chris was telling me about this car :P said he had a Mark 1 VTS with only 20k on the clock.. and i thought 48k was low for a mark 1 :( .. Your cars really nice!

Sorry people if you think im messeing you around. The garage where I was sposed to get my new car from have fooked me over, and quite frankly, after talking to many Impreza owners im glad they did. Unreliable, petrol guzzlers etc are just a few things ive heard. ive been down to manic motors today and got my 24mm anti roll bar in, so im sticking with it. Sorry for the confusion....:hug:
