Morning All.
Picked up an 01 VTR on Monday, to balance a bit of fun with some fuel economy for my 100 mile-a-day commute.
It's green, aftermarket cheapo 15" wheels, rusty twin exit backbox, lowered roughly 50mm, springs on the front, DIY job on the rear. Rear lights are light green. Nice. Cone filter. Did have a tasty "MOTORSPORT" green sunstrip and some fake bolts stuck round the fuel filler flap. They're in the bin now. :clapping:
The ride is pretty harsh, but I'm really enjoying how it handles. I plan to slowly and tastefully modify a few cosmetic things. First things first though, and that's cambelt, tensioners and a service.
If anyone can recommend a good place in Essex (nr Basildon if poss) i'd appreciate it.
Look forward to meeting some of you at a meet in the coming months.

Cheers,
Tim. :mobile:

I think once the rear lights are changed, it'll look a whole lot better.
And the backbox is polished up and de-rusted.
And it's washed and waxed.
And some tyre shine.
And would like some new wheels as well.

Welcome mate!

Will look tonnes better once you change those rear lights and clean that zorst up!

Use some metal polish on the zorst, it will come up a treat!

Here's hoping mate. Will get stuck into it this weekend. Weather permitting.:y:

Didn't have the money to get new lights yet, but I've still got a can of tail light tinting spray which I've never used. Thinking of giving it a coat of that and seeing if it covers the green up. Hopefully.

Would do mate, but this is the McRae limited edition and to remove them would devalue it.

Just to ask once more, if anyone could recommend a decent place to do the belt and service it near me, I'd appreciate it. :y:

Thanks.
