Please help, claim being made agaisnt me

Last year late july i was cut up on a roundabout by a foreign driver (austrian)in a motor home, there was quite a bit of damage to my car and no damage to his veichle. I couldnt understand a word he was saying so phoned the police, and asked for their help, well that was a waste of time. Eventually we filled out a incident form that forign companies supply to their customers incase of accidents so both party's can exchange details easily. After that we went our seperate ways.

I repaied most of the damge to my car, i didnt tell quinn about the accident as i asumed the other driver wasnt going to presue the claim as there was no damage to his viechle. I didnt want to get quinn involved as ive heard rumors of them being a bit crap when it comes to arguing whos fault it is. I however knew it was 100% not my fault but for this reason decided to fix the car myself and leave the insurance company out of it.

Well last night i got a phone call from quinn's reginal manager in cornwall saying someone is trying to make a claim agaisnt me for this incident.

At this point im not to sure what to do, the accident was over 6months ago and surely theres a legal time limit on persuing a claim.

Any advice at this point would be greatly appriciated

There may be a time limit, however disclosure to your insurers at the time would have been in your best interests.

Do you still have the police log numbers for the incident and any other supporting documentation? If so, I would suggest you pass it to Quinn as soon as you can.

thought you had only 90 days to claim. that is what i was told when someone hit me. and it took me a year to get payed out. why do we bother with insurance!!
