Completely defeats the object, how would you be able to see them, the idea of neons is that you can see them, especially when its dark..

I explained theres such things as UV neons. Anyhow, we goin pub soon so this is gunna come up in one of our drunken pub chats.

Black lights have that purple look to them because of the filter on the light. That filter is there to only allow a certain band of wavelengths of light. (IE the UV band)

Just to the human eye, this makes it look purple as we cannot directly see UV light - only the effects it has on objects....

use uv lights a lot in clubs, te awesome when your playing pool and your drunk :p

they use it in clubs above the bars as the uv lights show up fake bank notes.
