View Full Version : removing the citroen and saxo badges

as title really, how can you get them off without breaking them so i can respray them black and then refit them.
i tried very breifly at the scrap yard pushing some pins found in the boot and it actually snapped the badges off so luckily it wasnt my car.
anyone whos done this any advice is much appreciated

Hairdryer to warm them up first, then pull off iirc?

just done a search and t cut and lots of elbow grease seems like the best way without removing them. cheers guys.

what you mean fishing wire??
as in feed fishing line behind and pull out??
also if you want to debadge they leave holes dont they :(
also yea theres a guide somewhere on how to respray them black

hmmmmm suppose if you whack some insulation tape round then yes
but heat is better, i got mine off by washing the car first once it was al finished the water and foam loosened the foam sticky stuff on the badges up and they came off very easy

work it into the spunge behind, it cuts through the sticky bits and loosens the badges, just have to double the wire over because it can snap

you could also use a soft solvent for removing stickers, you can get it in maplin etc, which will loosen the sponge layer and you will be able to pull them easily. it won't ruin your paint either.
