I am selling my vts for a deposit on a house, so i want a decent car preferably below 2k but still has that bit of performance.

ive been looking at punto hgt and gt turbos at minute, quite impressed with performance and fairly cheap.

any other suggestions?

Renault 5 Turbo? Fiesta RS Turbo? Escort XR3i/RS? Golf GTi? All are old though. Could pick up a 98 or 99 VTS for around 1200ish.
