Car was filthy so decided to give it a quick wash yesterday and couldnt find any car cleaning products in the shed so whacked a bit of fairy washing up liquid in a bucket of hot water and gave it a wipe down.
Its gleaming !! does anyone else use it or got any other unconventional cleaning products.
Dont think im going to bother with anything else anymore :y:

Fairy liquid is terrible stuff to use on cars. Yes you get one hell of a result but over time it will destroy the paint. Think of all the grannies that use it at the weekend to wash their cars, they are all faded and looking like crap after a while.

fairy liquid strips all the wax etc off the car leaving it with no protection thats fine if your gonna apply more
also think its salt content aint good for the paint, could be talkin poop though

cant see how a splash in a bucket of water can do any more harm than driving down a salted road or living by the sea tbh and it last foreveeeeeeer ;)
