alrite ppl well ive got a sort of whining noise say if im in second and accelerate then like let off and let it slow down still in second in makes a whining noise.... if i put the clutch in it doesnt do it.... gearbox maybe??? clutch pedal is really high but it all drives fine goes into gear fine?? also does it in 3rd aswell.... never tried it in 4th or 5th

on a serious note sounds like clutch release bearing to me mate,nothing to worry about could go for years like it without a problem.

no probs mate cheers .... so what causes it to whine then??

bearing just gets dry,not worth changing unless you change the clutch,someone might post another reason,i would bet the clutch release bearing though,good luck with anyway mate.
