I got a letter from my solicitor about my accident i hadat work
anyway i trapped my thumb in a machine at work, half my fault tbh but they never said go to hospital or anything and put a plaster on it lol, made me work all night i was in agony
went to hospital next day and they said you should of had stitches, so they put dumbells on as it already healed a bit and it wasnt within 6 hours of having the accident
my mate used to work for a claims company anyway and put the claim in, its took about a year and a few doctors visits but the outcome is 1250 for the injury and 168 for loss of earnings
with solicitors fees etc my final sum of money is £1168 so im very happy indeed :)
will come in handy for my tyres and wilwood 4 pots :)

Spend it wisely mate, don't waste it on the car.
Talking of claims, lad from my work got beat up the other week, fractured eye socket and needed a metal plate in - anyways he had to have his head cut open from ear to ear which resulted in 51 stitches and one BIG SCAR.
The outcome £500 PER STITCH for compensation.

agreed. I wouldn't even say spend... save it wisely. you didnt miss the £2k before so why would you miss it now? let it get a bit of interest and put it towards something decent.
Luke
15th February 2008, 22:14
I have learnt from wasting money on cars, so take a lesson from me ;)
It's true though, never missed it so save it for that Evo you want ;)

Couple of years back i was in a crash while in a taxi, got 1700 for that. Company was well dodgy though they sent me to see a doctor and he asked me what pain i was in and i was 100% honest and said its just a small pain in my leg, he looked at me and said 'ah whiplash and nightmares....dont worry i get you good money'. Also got 100 for being attacked and having my phone stolen (but only recieved a fiver so far).
