My sister is trying to connect to my wireless network (aol 4mb using netgear dg834GT) it usually works fine but now it connects but she cant use the internet if you know what i mean, and has 95 percent signal

Any ideas cheers

Check the firewall settings, also is Internet sharing turned on?

Yeah I've tried disabling the firewall and yes internet sharing is on.

The pc (wired to the router) is on Vista premium, and the laptop trying to connect wirelessly is on XP.

Can the XP machine "see" the vista machine, workgroup names the same? Have you run the network setup wizard.

Yes the XP can connect to the actualy network, but just cannot use the internet connection, a tough one tbh.

And yeah both are on WORKGROUP

Does she connect to your pc through wireless or to your wirless router??
